How I Became a Girlsboss | Creating a Brand

I know I was away for a long time but I had a valid excuse.

I became a Girlboss!!!

As I didn't work for a couple of months at the beginning of the pandemic, during this time I didn't want to sit down or lay on the bed all day and watch everything on Netflix by waiting for a call from companies. I actually got that call and now I'm working for 2 companies which one of them is my own company! My brand!

I believe that we sometimes need to wait for the right time to realize our dreams. Bad things may always show up and we may not have anything to do, with that and it wouldn't seem the right time to do it in order to realize our dreams. The same thing happened to me. Maybe the timing wasn't right to create a brand and start selling online because of the coronavirus. Nevertheless, I wanted to try. I didn't want to stop! And finally, Dreams came true. I ticked one of my dreams on the list too.

If you create a brand, it's always a hard thing you must know this! But if you're going to start selling online, then it becomes a massive challenge to make your brand be known. You must have huge control over all the marketing (especially social media) platforms.

It's been nearly a month to open up my own website that I sell women's accessories, jewellery, and bags.  (I'm sure you will love them) My purpose was besides selling my own products, also support Turkish women entrepreneurs. I dreamt to make their brands heard by people who live in the UK and Europe. Now, I have a website called https://cestlalife.com/. I sell my own products and other Turkish brands' products as well.

I can hear your questions about how I built my brand, how I started to sell online etc... Let me summarize you how I created a brand briefly because the answer is pretty simple:

1- Decide what you want to sell

2- Save money to invest in your brand and advertisements

3- Start searching where you can supply your products

4- Calculate all your expenses and determine the price

5- Build up your online store and start selling.

6- Focus on advertising and marketing with full concentration.

Being a Girlboss means that you will work nearly 7/24. You won't sleep for a while. You will monitor your GA all the time. Your phones' screen time will rise up! Even so, you will feel so much better!

Never give up to follow your dreams, don't give up if you can't sell anything at the beginning. Don't forget, it's going to take time to be heard and known. Create a good marketing strategy and stick to it. One day you will be discovered by someone and you'll start selling online.

The only thing we need is motivation. C'est La Life is my new and second full-time job now. I would never guess I could have a brand. I worked so much on this. Sometimes I fell asleep while my laptop was on my lap. But I've learnt so many things in terms of digital marketing and social media. Everything is an experience for me. Now I'll focus on my brand to be discovered by many people. I will share my products in another blog post and I will also share tips on creating a brand and marketing strategies.

As you can see, I have a very hectic work life, even so, I'm back to my blog posts as well. Stay tuned and sign up the newsletter to hear the latest blog posts! If you'd like to check and shop for my products visit my website cestlalife.com!
